Programme of events

We continue our Lenten programme of prayer, fasting and alms, reflecting, perhaps, that the 'fast' days are the slowest!- and look forward to celebrating, first St.Patrick's Day with our PARTy on SATURDAY MARCH 16^th, D.V., and Easter as this month ends. We wish A HOLY AND HAPPY EASTER to all our members and friends.

Saturdays

2^nd  Cards and Games at 8.30pm

take your pick of 25, poker or board game – Countdown Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble (De Luxe Edition), Ludo, Dingbats, chess or a jigsaw. Enjoy the nice supper, also. Admission €5

9^th Mimes and “20 Questions” starting at 8.30pm

Come early so you don't miss any fun. There will be a fine supper too, all for €5.

16^th St.Patrick's Party starting at 9pm

Let's make it 'a Great Day for the Irish', with great music to dance to, played by DJ Paddy Kelly, a delicious supper, and a glass of wine o orange. Admission €7. Why not bring friend or two along?

23^rd “Come-All-YE” at 8.30pm

Bean-a-ti Cait Clynch, will invite you to sing, play a tune, read or recite a poem or tell a story, and she'll provide a super supper also. Admission €5

23^rd Social Work Group visit Bellville 

(Home for the Elderly)

South Circular Road, Dublin 8.

We bring sweets, magazines and friendship. Meet at the Home's gate at 2.45pm. Any members wishing to join in this good work should contact Teresa Talbot so necessary arrangements can be made.

Monday

4^th, 11^th & 25^th  Table Tennis at 8.30pm

snooker, pool, Scrabble, chess, Bagatelle - a game new to most of us – or other board games, or come for a chat. Admission €5 includes tea and biscuits. Table tennis players are asked to wear suitable shoes to comply with Insurance Regulations.

Wednesday   

6^th Executive Committee Meeting at 8.30pm

13^th Ash WednesdayMass starting at 8.30pm

celebrated by Fr. Declan Blake, with distribution of Blessed Ashes. Please come to this important occasion. No door charge; tea and biscuits served.

Thursdays

7^th and 21^st Table quiz at 8.30pm

€16 for a table of 4; there's a Cash Prize for winners and a Prize for the Funniest Wrong Answer. Bring a team, or come on your own and join with others there. A lot of easy questions, and fun for all! Tea and biscuits included.

Fridays

1^st, 8^th , 15^th and 22^nd  Table tennis, pool, Snooker at 8.30pm.

Please wear suitable footwear to comply with Insurance Regulations. 

Admission €3 includes tea and biscuits.

Condolences

to relatives and friends of Kevin Moriarty, who had died. A long-time member, Kevin used to play table tennis and chess, and often entertained us at the 'Come-All-YE' with songs and recitations. May he rest in peace.
