The holy season of lent is under way, and by the traditional means of prayer, fasting and alms, we prepare ourselves for Heaven.Meanwhile we celebrate St Patrick's Day with a party on Saturday March 7th, Dv. Be sure to come, and bring a friend or two as well!

Programme of Events 

Saturday

3rd    Cards and games at 8.30pm

play 25, poker, a board game- Countdown, trivial pursuit chess or jigsaws. Enjoy a nice supper, too, all for admission € 5

10th Film “Roman Holiday”

with Audrey Hepburn in an Oscar-winning role, and Gregory Peck. Starting at 8.30pm sharp so everyone can savour the tasty supper around 10.20 and not have to rush for a bus after. Adm E5

17th St Patricks Party starting at 9 pm

with music for dancing played by DJ Cyril Hynes. There will be a delicious supper and a glass of wine or orange. Admission E7

24th Games and Crafts at 8.30pm

Select some of our wide collection of board games or cards. A fine supper will be served. Admission E5

31st “Come-All-Ye” at 8.30pm

Your hostess Cait Clynch will give you an opportunity to sing, play a tune, read or recite a poem or tell a story. She's a wonderful cook, so there will be a super supper. Admission E5

Sundays

18th   Visit to Chester Beatty Library

To see some of the wonderful Oriental manuscripts, books and objects d'art.
Meet at Dublin Castle Gate, Dame St at 2.30pm.
You can opt for a Guided tour with an expert, and or browse as you please. Admission and tour are FREE

Mondays

5th, 12th, 19th, 26th

Table Tennis at 8.30pm

Snooker, pool, Scrabble, Darts, Chess or other board games, or come for a chat. Admission E3 included tea and biscuits. Table tennis players are asked to wear suitable shoes to comply with Insurance Regulations.

Wednesday

7th Executive Committee Meeting at 8.30pm

Thursdays

1st, 15th, 29th

Table quiz at 8.30pm

E16 for a table for 4; there's a CASH PRIZE for winners and a PRIZE for the FUNNIEST WRONG ANSWER. Bring a team, or come on your own and join with  others there. A lot of easy questions, and fun for all! Tea and biscuits included.

Condolences on the recent death of Joe Hennessy to his sister Kathleen, relatives and friends. Joe sang in club Variety Shows. May he rest in peace.
