The large attendance was welcomed by chairpersonTeresa Talbot. Secretary Paddy Kelly read theminutes of the previous AGM and reviewed theyear’s events. All who helped in the Club’s moveto our new premises were thanked, especially theEarl’s proprietor, Denis. Special thanks too to
Patsy Collins and Dolores Dempsey who ran the
(post) January Sale. The Treasurer’s Report had a
happy ending, we’re back in the black, TG. The
number of nominees for the Executive Committee did
not exceed the total, so all were declared elected
without a ballot. The meeting was followed by

MASS
FOR DECEASED MEMBERS and HOLY SOULS
There
was an encouraging congregation to welcome
Rev.
Fr Blake to our Club for Mass for deceased
members
of ABC. Fr Blake got a specially warm
reception
on his first visit as Parish Priest –
not
just of one but of two parishes. God grant
him
health and strength for his new work.
Patsy
Collins read, and Fr gave a lovely talk,
praising
the reading, music and singing to the
skies.
He stayed for a cup of tea and had to
hurry
back to his parishes. Go mbeirimid beo ag
an
am seo aris.
Cait

PS
Fr Blake will be back again, DV, for Mass on
Ash
Wednesday – no marks for guessing who had
the
date on the tip of his tongue – Tommy Ward,
of
course.
