FILM “COVER GIRL”
A beautiful and ambitious dancer believes she can achieve fame and fortune faster as a model; she embarks on her new career, but her dancing partner isn’t happy to lose her. Romance blossoms in her new life, but where does her heart lie? Rita Hayworth sings and dances her way to everyone’s heart, and Gene Kelly gives marvellous foretastes of his astounding achievements in the iconic “Singin’ in the Rain” with superb choreography, both of them doing full justice to Jerome Kern’s delightful songs. The fine supporting actors Phil Silvers, Eve Arden and Lee Bowman complete the cast, all in glorious Technicolor. Thanks to projectionist Paddy Kelly and to Eileen Murphy who supplied the
grand supper for another great night.
