“I see wonderful things”, explorer Howard Carter declared when he first looked into the Pyramid of
Egyptian boy King Tutankhamun which he had just discovered and excavated. Maybe the Club’s Sale wasn’t quite as spectacular, but there was a fine selection of goods on sale and in the Raffle, and if you didn’t find something to suit, then in the words of Gilbert and Sullivan, “you’re a dainty man to please”. A good number of members and friends had gathered for the event, and it was great to see them. Items of all types were in demand, and Teresa (T) was kept busy at the cash desk. We ended the evening with a lovely supper provided by Tommy Ward and Teresa. The Committee sincerely thanks all who brought, all who bought, all who came along, and all who helped out.
