Review of Recents Events

New Year Party

On December 29 the Club's New Year Party, the last event in Parnell Square, took place. Tommy Ward manned the presentation of the Bill of Fare with his usual aplomb, beginning with wine to orange drinks. Turkey and ham sandwiches, Christmas Cake and mince pies by Cáit Clynch, and trifle by Eileen Murphy and Teresa Talbot combined for a supper liked by all.

Proceedings got going early with Paddy Kelly spinning the discs; some Irish music, pop/disco tunes had party-goers on the floor. Mary Martin's cassette provided a comedy slot. In a relaxed atmosphere socialising was big, between sitting around chatting , dancing and the supper. Teresa O'Hehir sold tickets for the raffle with nice prizes won just after supper. Teresa T. announced the Club's continuance in our new premises, literally in the city centre. Tommy and paddy asked for help to prepare and move out our possessions. The evening ended with a nice bunch of carols led by paddy, with organ accompaniment by Teresa, and all on the floor to sing "Auld Lang Syne"
